Senior Employment Attorney – Plaintiff-Side Litigation

Are you a passionate litigator with proven success? We are seeking Senior Associate Attorney to join our team. At Shegerian & Associates, you’ll step straight into high-impact work—not a back office. You’ll lead courtroom strategy, first- or second-chair trials as needed, drive and defend high-stakes depositions, and own a strategic docket with a seasoned team behind you. You’ll have real autonomy, the resources to strengthen cases while collaborating with peer trial lawyers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage your own docket of employment law cases from inception through trial.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and trial briefs.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Appear in court to argue motions and advocate for clients.
- Engage with clients and help shape case strategy.
- Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and negotiations.
- Assist in trial preparation and serve as second chair where applicable.
What We’re Looking For:
- Active CA Bar membership
- 3+ years plaintiff-side employment litigation
- Deposition experience required; trial experience strongly preferred
- Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage cases independently, lead strategy, and mentor junior attorneys.

- Compensation That Rewards Results: Base salary of $150,000–$200,000 DOE, plus up to 5.5% in performance commissions. Many of our associates out-earn peers at comparable firms.
